Group of South Korean carmaker, Hyundai-Kia, became Asia's number one producer in Europe. Amazingly, a reputation achieved in the last four months in a row. It was reported by The Chosun Ilbo said, citing from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, yesterday.
Explained, last May, the two Korean car manufacturers managed to sell 58,585 units in 28 countries joined the European Union and free trade (FTA) on the continent and claimed 4.7 percent gain market share and is ranked 9th.
Hyundai-Kia competitors from Asia, Toyota sold just 41,828 units and only received 3.3 percent market share. Composition of the sale of Korean manufacturers, Hyundai and Kia 34,508 units 24,077 units.
Further, Hyundai-Kia sales from January to May in Europe have reached 283,506 units, able to maintain its position by beating Toyota's 256,935 units. Previously, Allan Rushforth, vice president of Hyundai Motor Europe, Hyundai claims it will raise in position-5 in Europe in 2013 with sales of 500,000 units per year.
In Europe, groups of producers who won the most sales during 2011 is Volkswagen (VW). Last month, VW Group achieved sales of 299,841 units or 23.9 percent annexed. The next position, the PSA Group, Peugeot-Citroën with 13.5 percent market share, Renault Group-4 position with a share of 8.9 percent, and the fourth with a 8.8 GM message.
Also reported that the Hyundai-Kia will reach the market 9 percent this year based on predictions of the Standard & Poor's released last week. Growth in market share of Hyundai-Kia continues to endure since 2008 (6.5 percent), rose to 7.7 percent in 2009, 8.2 percent in 2010, and this year is estimated at above 9 percent.
